Kate Beckinsale, was born in Hounslow (Middlesex), England on 26 July 1973. She has been a resident of London throughout her entire adulthood. Her mother is Judy Loe, who has appeared on a variety of British dramas and sitcoms and is still an actress, mostly in British productions on television. After numerous appearances on television, she received her first major role in 1993's romantic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing". She has been a star in numerous films, like "Emma" (1996), "Pearl Harbor" (2001) and "Underworld" (2003), which has also produced five additional films. Beckinsale was also in "Total Recall" (2012) along with Jessica Biel & Colin Farrel. Beckinsale also won numerous awards such as "Best Actress" at Sitges Catalan International Film Festival. The Evening Standard British Film Awards as well as the National Film Awards U.K.
