Alison Krauss

The beginning of the international fame was experienced by bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when, at the age of 19, she took home of her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. This was an achievement not only because of Krauss's age but also because the album which earned her such recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third of her collection. Too Late To Cry is her first album. It debuted in Champaign Illinois as she was at the age of 16. In the year 14 she signed with Rounder Records - one of the most revered folk music labels. Krauss's achievements at such a young age, as much as her virtuosity, are consistently confirmed by the fact that she has remained faithful to bluegrass - one of America's most enduring and least appreciated musical genres. Krauss has now grown from being a teenage pixie into a seasoned artist and producer. Alison Alison Alison
