
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on January 19 in 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. Pleshette began her stage career, and she appeared in films in the late 1950s. She was later featured in notable films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She also appeared in numerous television productions, mainly in guest roles. She was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, and received several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who was stage-named Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director of the Paramount Theater in Manhattan as well as the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
