Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and swept her away in an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd bounced back from defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by the first round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first bout as a Bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to take on McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place at UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with the ground and pound strategy and earned the TKO 2nd round win. Her dominance continued and she scored a more impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first few seconds and earned a reward for the performance of the evening. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks to win her first major fight. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was a unanimous decision.
